Common Myth: Cats purr whenever they are happy: Purring is not just a sound of contentment. Cats also purr if they're injured, while giving birth - even when dying. British zoologist Desmond Morris has observed that purring is "a sign of friendship" - either when the cat is content with a friend or when it is in need of friendship - as with a cat in trouble.
Dr. JinniOriginally from Moscow, Russia, Dr. Jinni Demine graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 2001.

Her entire professional career has been devoted to treating small animals and exotic pets. In addition, Dr. Jinni has a keen interest in soft tissue surgery.

Dr. Jinni has settled in the Quinte West area since her graduation. Owning a small animal practice has always been her dream which she fulfilled in the summer of 2005 by purchasing Trenton Pet Hospital.

Dr. Jinni has a very busy lifestyle outside of her veterinary career. She and her spouse have 3 kids (2 boys and an always laughing girl), a cat, "Vaska", and a King Charles Spaniel named "Ruslan". Dr. Jinni is a passionate scrapbooker and spends the majority of her time crafting special projects about her family life and, of course, her hospital!
